The Century of Save the Children. Swedish Save the Children and Interwar Humanitarianism

Layman's description
The project investigates humanitarian and human rights discourses, narratives and practices, using Swedish Save the Children as a case. Focusing on the child as a war victim and on women’s activism, it analyses the significance of the war experience for reformulating humanitarianism and rights primarily during the early twenties, but also from a longer historical cultural perspective.
